Description7.5 x 9.5 in. in.: Black and White photograph is in landscape orientation. Written on back of in pencil: "View of enlisted men's barracks crushed by storm. Evacuation of se barracks prior to full force of storm prevented heavy casualties. In foregroundis wreckage of a temporary "tent camp" for recruits." In foregroundis wooden debris and, at left, heaps of canvas; in middleground, group of Marines in field uniforms, many wearing ponchos as well. Background rightis barracks building with some damage to front and windows; background rightis a barracks building tipped forward, with almost all of building destroyed.
