Description5 x 7 in.: Black and White photograph is in landscape orientation. It shows a fireplace and mantel in Hanover House, a historic house formerly in Berkeley County but moved to and reconstructed on Clemson University campus prior to construction of Santee Cooper Power and Navigation Project. smoke-darkened mantel over brick fireplace has an architrave surround supporting a narrow frieze and cornice. To left of fireplaceis a wooden bucket; above bucketis a piece of clothing on a line. upper right corner of is badly overexposed. Written on back in pencilis "Hanover, Detail of Mantle [sic]".
