Description8 x 10 in.: Black and White photograph is in landscape orientation and taken from a height looking down. Cross-shaped concrete upper level with railings along most of edges and a stairway leading down in background right center at end of right arm of ""cross."" Large semicircular concrete construction at center on bottom arm of ""cross, "" with part of anor background right on left arm of ""cross."" Holes in floor along top and bottom arms of ""cross"" showing where equipment was removed. Two partial walls background right center at bottom of top arm of ""cross."" Large industrial style multi-paned windows in background with pipes running up and down walls separating windows. Typed in black ink in a white area below is ""Fushun Power Plant --- Fushun, Manchuria. ed by U.S. Signal Corps, 17 June 1946. Large power plant (View Number 1) showing empty foundations from which Unit Number 1 and Number 2, complete with condensers and accessories, were removed during Soviet occupancy. Four 50, 000 KW (each) steam-electric generators were removed, leaving only two operable units remaining in an adjacent plant having a total capacity of 50, 000 KW (but only operable at half capacity because of poor condition).""
