Vision
Clemson University Libraries Digital Library Initiative (DLI) will create digital resources based on the teaching, research and service objectives of the University and provide management, access, preservation and integration of digital resources with traditional library collections. The initiative will assess the value and use of digital collections while adhering to international description and access standards. The initiative will focus on resources owned by the University and coordinate with and provide leadership for other digital collection initiatives throughout the state of South Carolina. The initiative will also seek partnerships with other cultural and educational organizations in support of Clemson University’s quest to become a Top 20 public university in the United States.
Mission
The Clemson University Libraries Digital Library Initiative (DLI) is dedicated to providing high-quality digital collections for the University’s scholarly, student, and global community. The initiative supports efforts to provide open access to digital collections to the University community and beyond. The initiative focuses library resources on digital library collections that support the teaching and research of University faculty, learning and research of University faculty, learning and research of students, and collaborative efforts in digital library development.
